On November 14, 1969, Apollo 12, the second manned mission to the moon, launched. The crew of three astronauts were Charles “Pete” Conrad, mission commander; Alan L. Bean, lunar module pilot and Richard F. Gordon, command module pilot. Their mission lasted from November 14 to 24, 1969.
