On August 25, 1932, Amelia Earhart, an aviation pioneer, was the first woman to fly non-stop across the United States. She was born on July 24, 1897 in Atchison, Kansas. Amelia took her first airplane ride in 1920 and that was the start of her love of aviation. The first solo transatlantic flight by a woman was one of Amelia’s achievements in 1932. It took her 14 hours from Canada to Ireland. She disappeared on July 2, 1937 while she was attempting to reach Howland Island in the Pacific. The exact reason for her disappearance is still unknown and is one of the world’s biggest mysteries.

It tends to make me wonder what kind of mindfulness practices she used to stay alert on long flights like these. Maybe something like these?
